I feel like this group has helped me by connecting me with other mothers who have gone through similar situations. It’s not just about creating a safe space to talk openly and relate to one another, it’s also about building friendships with people I can trust to support me through my struggles and moments of weakness after birth.

It was comforting to hear from others who also struggled with their birth experiences, even if their situations were different. Knowing I wasn’t alone in my feelings helped me feel more understood and supported during a time that can feel incredibly isolating.

The support from the women in the group, along with Alexsis’s kind and thoughtful words whenever I shared how I was feeling, truly meant a lot. It made me feel heard, validated, and reminded that I wasn’t alone in what I was going through.

Alexsis’s support in the birth trauma group was nothing short of transformative. She created a safe and compassionate space where we could share our experiences without judgment. Her empathy and guidance helped many of us heal and find strength after difficult births. Alexsis truly understands the journey of recovery and brings hope to those who need it most.

Being part of this group, I felt less alone. It helped me understand and recognizing parts that were too painful to discuss, and understand what needs work. It felt great having support to lean on that can relate.
Stefanie
This group helped me feel less alone by giving me the chance to meet other moms. I’ve made friends, learned so much from their experiences, and realized that it’s okay to talk about what I’m going through.

I no longer feel alone. I was able to share different parts of my story and never once felt judged. That experience lifted my spirits because, as a new mom, it can often feel like we’re being judged for everything. People in general can be very quick to judge. Being in this group helped me realize that I can be unapologetically myself. It also made me aware that somewhere along the way I lost my voice, and that there are ways to get it back.

I feel so much less alone now. For the first time, I felt genuinely heard and supported, and I finally found people who don’t think I’m “crazy” for my feelings. It’s like a weight has been lifted, because I know there are others out there who truly understand what I’m going through.

This group is the best thing that could have happened to me when I needed it most. Your story is worth sharing, and you are not alone. Everyone can relate to each other in one way or another, and there is no judgment. I feel less alone and more able to understand my emotions. It has opened my eyes to realize that I’m not okay, and that’s okay.

Talking with women who have gone through similar experiences has been incredibly helpful. The thoughtful questions encouraged me to reflect deeply on my trauma and understand the issues it caused. I’m no longer stuck reliving the trauma every day like I once was.

The similar stories and the validation from everyone meant so much to me. Having a place to share and feel understood in my emotions was incredibly healing. The lack of judgment, the validation, and the genuine support made all the difference. This group isn’t only about birth, it’s truly about motherhood and what it means to become a mother. I feel like I joined a community of motherhood. This group has helped me so much. I know I still have work to do, but in just five short weeks I can’t believe how far I’ve come, thanks to the support of Alexsis and my fellow birth-trauma mamas.

I’ve felt less alone throughout this experience. Having a place to share my inner thoughts and my story, and to truly understand my emotions, has been incredibly helpful. I also really appreciated learning different tools, like mindset reframing. I feel lighter now, like there’s less weight on my shoulders, and I’m more comfortable sitting with my uncomfortable emotions. Joining this group is one of the best first steps you can take toward feeling okay. It’s a powerful and supportive place to begin.

The facilitator, Alexsis, was so approachable and warm, and she made me feel very comfortable sharing and created a truly non-judgmental space. Once the other women opened up about their thoughts around their births, thoughts that might feel too candid to share with strangers, I felt safe to share as well. The group helped me feel less alone. Going through birth trauma is incredibly isolating, and I often feel like people in my day-to-day life don’t want to hear about it because it makes them uncomfortable, and they don’t know how to hold space for it. The weekly questions were also really meaningful, and they are ones I plan to revisit through journaling in the coming months. I think I am at the very beginning of my journey in addressing the pain around my birth experience, and as I gain more space and time to reflect, I expect my answers and my healing to evolve.

Being able to talk to my loved ones feels a bit easier now that I’ve been able to “test-launch” my feelings within this group. If you’re looking to work through your trauma alongside like-minded women who truly understand what it’s like to be in the same boat, just trying to stay afloat, this is the place to be.

Everyone’s loving presence, attentive listening, support, kindness, and vulnerability made me feel truly seen and held. In this group, I felt less alone while gaining clarity around the root causes of my trauma, and I had the space to process my emotions while hearing meaningful, supportive perspectives. Because of this, I experienced emotional, mental, and even physical relief, and I felt more connected to my body and to other moms going through similar experiences. I found myself less inclined to isolate and more inspired to connect and serve. This space not only supported the start of my postpartum healing journey, but also left me feeling more grounded, empowered, and deeply connected to both myself and my community, a safe place where I felt heard, understood, and uplifted.

Joining this experience was a huge step for me. After nearly losing my life and facing the reality that I may never be able to have another child, I became very closed off, angry, sad, and hopeless. I joined on a whim, but it has given me a new perspective and slowly chipped away at those heavy feelings I had been carrying. The open, welcoming format of the group made it easier to share, especially as others began opening up. Before this, I hadn’t met anyone who spoke openly about a traumatic birth, so it gave me a real sense of community and helped me feel less alone. Sharing and hearing others’ experiences was incredibly healing, and the prompts helped me focus without feeling overwhelmed. I’m very grateful for this group, it’s been a deeply meaningful experience.

Everyone in this group has been through something difficult, but they show up ready to share and support each other. It helped me feel far less alone. For the past 1.5 years, I’ve been met with shock when I tell my story. In this group, I found people who truly understand. There’s no comparison or “trauma competition,” just genuine empathy and community. Hearing other women’s stories, especially those who faced life-threatening experiences and still show up for their children, was incredibly powerful. I almost didn’t join because I thought my experience wasn’t “traumatic enough,” but I’m so glad I did. Alexsis created a thoughtful, supportive space with helpful prompts, meaningful follow-ups, and room for open conversation. I’m really grateful for this group.

I felt truly heard and supported in this space. Listening to other people’s stories and holding space for one another without judgment or any pressure to fix anything was incredibly powerful. Through this experience, I feel less alone and more seen, especially knowing there are other women who have survived traumatic situations. I’ve noticed a shift in myself, I feel more confident and more willing to trust my instincts and listen to my gut. I’m learning to do what truly serves me and my family. Hearing other women’s experiences and seeing how they’ve found ways to heal has been deeply inspiring. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. It’s a beautiful space where I felt supported, seen, and appreciated, no matter where I am in my healing journey. I’m so grateful to have come across this opportunity and to have connected with such amazing women. This was a safe place for me to make room for healing and to practice giving myself grace.

This group was an invaluable experience for me. The shared experiences we had helped me feel less alone, and Alexsis was a very warm and supportive preceptor who created a safe and welcoming space. Through the group, I was able to process some unresolved emotions and feel less angry about my experience. I felt very supported throughout, and it also became a place where I could share the joys of motherhood with like-minded women. I wish it was longer! Most importantly, it reinforced that all of our trauma is valid. If you’re thinking about joining, do it.

I felt comfortable knowing that the group could relate to life events that I had also experienced. I felt less alone and grateful to have a place where I could share without judgment. Through this experience, I’ve learned to voice my concerns in situations that make me uncomfortable without becoming overwhelmed or internalizing my feelings, and I am better able to speak up for myself. I felt very supported throughout. Alexsis responded quickly after my outreach, was extremely thorough, and provided reassurance, showing real understanding and accommodation for the demands of motherhood. As a first-time mom experiencing postpartum, this workshop was a godsend. It was meaningful to connect with other women and realize I wasn’t alone or ‘crazy.’ I only wish it had been longer. Overall, I found this workshop incredibly beneficial and highly recommend it.

This group gave me a sense of community where I could speak freely about my experience without judgment, only understanding and support. Knowing that others had gone through similar experiences made me feel less alone and truly heard. It became a safe space where I could be fully myself and openly share how birth trauma has affected me, which helped me become more comfortable talking about my experience outside the group as well. The writing prompts were especially helpful, guiding me to reflect more deeply on different parts of my experience and gently move toward healing and thinking about the future. I felt very supported throughout, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering it to join, sharing your experience with others who truly understand can be a powerful step in the healing process.

The peer led nature of this group is one of its greatest strengths. It brings together resilient women with shared experiences who offer one another genuine empathy, compassion, and support. The group gave me the opportunity to unpack and process emotions I had unknowingly carried and suppressed over time. Sharing our stories and having uninterrupted space to speak openly about our experiences was incredibly meaningful. There was something powerful about feeling truly heard and understood. I also found comfort in seeing women at different stages of motherhood and healing. It helped me feel less alone while giving me new perspective and a greater sense of balance. Motherhood can feel incredibly isolating, especially when you are carrying experiences or emotions that others may not fully understand. There is something deeply powerful about being surrounded by women who understand without needing explanation or judgment. Give yourself the opportunity to experience it. Come with an open mind and allow yourself to be vulnerable at your own pace. You may be surprised by how much comfort, perspective, and connection can come from simply feeling seen and understood. I am incredibly grateful for this group and the community it created.

The amazing women in the group and our facilitator, Alexsis, made this experience so meaningful. I really appreciated that the group functioned naturally, while Alexsis was there to maintain boundaries, keep us grounded, and gently bring us back when conversations naturally started to veer off topic. I feel much less alone and have realized that I still have some work to do, and that is not a bad thing. This group gave me a space to recognize where I am in my healing while connecting with other moms who truly understand. One of the biggest gifts was the connection with other moms. I had very few people I could relate to before, and now that circle has grown so much larger. If you’re considering joining a group like this, do it. If you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too. But when you are ready, go for it. It helps.
Kathryn
This group was such a safe and supportive space. The other participants were kind, listened to my story, and helped validate my experience. Being able to openly share things I normally keep bottled up inside was such a relief and helped me realize how much better I feel when I talk about my feelings. Connecting with other moms reminded me that although our birth experiences were different, there were still so many things we could relate to in our experiences of birth and motherhood. I felt validated, supported, and less alone, and the group even encouraged me to seek therapy and continue making space for my healing. I would absolutely recommend joining a group like this. It helped me build meaningful connections with other moms navigating motherhood after a traumatic or unexpected birth experience. Thank you so much, Alexsis, for creating a space where mothers can share openly, feel understood, and know that they are not alone.

This group helped me feel so much less alone. Being able to talk one on one with another mom and have conversations about birth trauma feel normal, without worrying that I was shocking someone, made such a difference. I talk much more freely about my birth trauma now. It is still hard, but I no longer feel like I am going to immediately break down when I talk about it. Joining this group showed me that I can make space for myself to heal while also connecting with other moms who are at different stages of their healing. Knowing there are people who truly understand what I went through and what I am still going through has made me feel less alone and more supported.

This group helped me feel seen, safe, and much less alone in the aftermath of my traumatic birth. From the very beginning, I felt validated and supported, which made it easier to share thoughts and feelings I had previously felt too ashamed or guilty to say out loud. Having a space where I didn’t have to justify my experience or worry about someone trying to fix it was incredibly healing. Through the group, I gained courage to validate my own experience and feel more secure in my story. I carry much less shame now because I know I’m not alone, and what happened wasn’t my fault. The sense of community and having people who could simply sit with me in the hard stuff made such a difference. You don’t have to justify a traumatic experience. If it was traumatic to you, it was traumatic. You deserve a space to talk about it, be understood, and feel supported.
Liz
This group has been such a safe and supportive space to talk through my birth trauma without feeling like I’m “dumping” on anyone. Knowing that we’re all there for similar reasons makes me feel less alone. Being able to openly and honestly share, listen, and be vulnerable with others has been incredibly healing and has helped me take steps toward moving forward.
